Takitimu House logo black

Takitimu House

Takitimu House was founded in 2014 out of a realisation that homelessness is more than just a housing issue – it’s a relational issue as well. On a mission to break the cycle of homelessness in Tauranga Moana, they enable ‘hard to reach’ men to experience home as a physical, emotional, psychological, and relational structure.

“If we have learnt one thing it is that the ‘cure’ for homelessness is a long term investment in the transformation of individual lives. Registering our charity with Thankyou Payroll eight years ago allowed our team to focus on growing a service dedicated to these transformations and our community.” – Annamarie, Operations Manager

Every person the Takitimu House has helped has a powerful story to tell. To read these stories yourself, or to learn more about homelessness and the service they provide, you can visit their website.
